What makes Virgin Voyages different
- Adults only: Every sailing is for guests 18 and older, so it’s a kid-free atmosphere.
- No buffet, no set dining times: There are 20+ places to eat and drink onboard, and all the restaurants are included in your fare.
- Value built in: Basic WiFi, group fitness classes, entertainment, and essential drinks (water, coffee, soda, and tea) are part of the voyage fare.
- Its own language: Guests are called “Sailors,” and balcony cabins are called “Sea Terraces.”
What’s included and what costs extra can change, so I confirm the details for your sailing before you book. That includes drinks beyond the essentials, shore excursions, spa treatments, and how daily gratuities are handled.

Meet the ships
Virgin Voyages currently has four ships. They share the same adults-only style, but each one has its own personality:
- Scarlet Lady: The original ship, a good fit for couples who want a touch of luxury without a resort feel.
- Valiant Lady: A good match for groups who want a lively, social trip. She was refreshed in 2026.
- Resilient Lady: Popular with solo travelers who want adventure.
- Brilliant Lady: The newest ship, for design-minded travelers who notice the details.
Routes change and ships move between regions, so I confirm which ship is sailing your itinerary before you book. Not sure which one fits you? Tell me your travel style and I’ll help you match.
Which cabin should you choose?
Virgin Voyages uses its own cabin names. There are five categories, and here’s the plain-English version:
- Insider: A windowless cabin, and the entry-level choice.
- Sea View: An ocean-view cabin with a window.
- Sea Terrace: A balcony cabin with Virgin’s signature red hammock. This is the one most Sailors book, and some Sea Terraces are extra large or in central spots on the ship.
- RockStar Quarters: Suites with more space, priority access, exclusive areas like Richard’s Rooftop, and added service.
- Mega RockStar Quarters: The top tier, with even more space and perks.
Not sure? A Sea Terrace is a good place to start for most travelers. Your cabin type can also affect which offers apply to your sailing, so tell me your budget and how much time you expect to spend in your room, and I’ll help you choose.

The Beach Club at Bimini
One of the highlights of many Virgin Voyages Caribbean sailings is the stop at the line’s private Beach Club at Bimini, in the Bahamas. It’s a beachfront escape with a pool and cabanas, and entry to the Beach Club is included in your fare on sailings that stop there.
Bimini is about 55 miles east of Miami, so most Caribbean sailings that leave from Miami include a Beach Club stop, often on the last day.
Good to know about San Juan: Sailings that depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico usually don’t include the Beach Club, because Bimini is closer to Miami. If a Beach Club day is on your wish list, look at Miami departures. If the idea of San Juan appeals to you, I can help you add a few nights in Puerto Rico before you sail, so you get extra island time and an easy start to your trip. Itineraries change, so I always confirm the ports before you book.
